Frequently asked questions

Where are you located ?

BerréClaire is a home based bakery located in Raleigh, NC behind Crabtree Mall. Address is provided after order is placed.

About BerréClaire Desserts ?

We specialize in baked goods and creative confections, made from scratch and baked in small batches throughout the day, using only the finest ingredients. Our product is made without preservatives and should be enjoyed on the day received

Does BerréClaire Bakery have any gluten-free, vegan or keto items?

We plan to release a menu catering to these dietary needs soon. Follow our page for any updates.

How far in advance should I place my order?

We recommend that you place your order at least 48 hours in advance for standard orders and 14 days for all event/party orders. We can usually accommodate most orders, however, the more notice you give us the more likely we will be able to fulfill your order. Please do not consider your order confirmed until you have received confirmation that your order has been received and deposit has been made.

Is there a minimum for cupcake orders?

Because of our small batch size and specicalty flavors, we ask that cupcakes are ordered in quantities of a dozen or more. Single order of cupcakes may be ordered when there is a cupcake of the day/sale. The flavor of the cupcake will be posted the day before.

Does BerréClaire Bakery Deliver ?

Delivery is only available for orders of $350 or more within a 25 mile radius of our location. A $10 fee will be added to your total.

How to store candy apples?

As long as the apples are kept in a cool, dry place and stored in a tight container, they will last for up to 5 days and 2 days for stuffed apples. I recommend leaving hard candy apples in an airtight container at room temperature. Caramel/Chocolate and stuffed apples should go in the refrigerator. Tip: Too much humidity and moisture will cause the apples to become sticky and/or melt. Too much oxygen will decrease the life expectancy of the apple

How do I pay?

Accepted methods of payment are credit/debit card via the online ordering system, Venmo, Paypal, and CashApp. Payment is required in full to confirm your order.

What is your refund Policy?

At BerréClaire, we take great pride in our products. We want all of our customers to be happy with their purchases. Since all of our baked products are made from scratch by real people, sometimes mistakes can happen. If we caused a problem with your order, we will do all we can to fix it. In order to qualify for a refund, we need to find out about a problem within 24 hours of your purchase and we need enough detail to address the problem.

How can I place an order?

All desserts are made to order to guarantee freshness of our products. You can place an order by email or through the online ordering system

Should I refrigerate my cupcakes

Once your cupcakes are properly wrapped, sealed tightly, they can definitely be stored in the fridge. Frosted cupcakes can keep in the fridge for about 4-5 days before they start to get hard and dry. Be sure to take the cupcakes out of the fridge, unwrap them and let them sit at room temperature for at least an hour before serving. We suggest storing them at room temperature to prevent from drying out. See other storage options.

How long are cupcakes fresh at room temperature?

Cupcakes should only be stored at room temperature for up to two days. If you plan on storing them overnight, tightly wrap the box in plastic wrap or place cupcakes in an airtight container and leave at room temperature.

What is the best way to store cupcakes?

If you plan on eating the buttercream frosted cupcakes within one or two days, it is completely okay to store them at room temperature. In fact, this is probably the best place to store them as they will not dry out and the cake and frosting will both be soft and ready to eat

Can I freeze my cupcakes?

When properly sealed, frosted cupcakes will keep in the freezer for up to three months. Once again, be sure to take them out of the freezer in advance and let them come to room temperature before serving. This should take about 2-3 hours to let them fully thaw.
